Nursery community consultation
Consultation Letter to undertake a Section 27, Governor led nursery provision
Following a positive response to our market research with our families and local community, the governors of Brindle St James’ CE Primary School are now consulting to set up Governor Led nursery provision. Brindle St James’ CE Primary School is currently a 4-11 year school and we have 68 pupils at school.
Our proposal is to provide Governor Led nursery provision for 3&4 year olds from September 2024. The proposed provision will be run under Section 27 of the Education Act. School/ the governing body will use it's community facility powers enabling us to provide any charitable purpose (such as early education) for the benefit of families of pupils at the school, or families who live or work in the locality of the school.
We intend to offer sessions covering the school day along with breakfast and after school club wrap around care to mirror the school day. The provision will be over seen by our Early Years teacher. The proposal is to create 6 places.
Our teachers are already highly trained in teaching to high standards and the new preschool children will be well prepared for school.
This consultation period will close on 4th December 2023 so please feel free to contact school before this point should you have any comments or require any further information using bursar@brindle-st-james.lancs.sch.uk
